W.B. Saffell Bourbon Whiskey 375ml
Description
W.B. Saffell Bourbon arrives in this perfectly sized 375ml bottle that showcases small-batch bourbon craftsmanship in an approachable format. Named for William Butler Saffell, a legendary bourbon figure from the 1800s, this expression honors whiskey heritage while delivering contemporary quality. The half-bottle size makes it ideal for exploring this craft bourbon without full commitment, or for keeping premium whiskey on hand for special occasions.
Deep amber color reflects quality aging in charred oak barrels. The nose presents inviting bourbon character—vanilla and caramel lead, supported by notes of butterscotch and toasted oak. What distinguishes W.B. Saffell is the balance achieved between sweet and spicy elements. Hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and black pepper add complexity, while underlying notes of dried fruit and honey showcase careful distillation and patient aging. The overall impression is refined yet approachable.
On the palate, this bourbon delivers smooth sophistication. Initial corn sweetness is immediately balanced by rye spice and oak tannins, creating dynamic flavor development. The mash bill shows thoughtful composition—enough corn for sweetness and body, sufficient rye for spice and complexity. Mid-palate brings notes of leather, tobacco, and dark chocolate that add depth without overwhelming. The proof is perfectly calibrated for both sipping and mixing.
The finish is warm and satisfying with moderate length, leaving pleasant notes of vanilla and spice. This 375ml size is perfect for bourbon exploration or as a thoughtful gift. W.B. Saffell honors its namesake with quality that would make the original William Butler proud, offering craft bourbon character that stands confidently among larger producers while maintaining small-batch attention to detail.
