Medium red. Higher-pitched on the nose than the Suchots, offering ethereal aromas of red fruits, flowers and crushed rock. Rich, firmly built and youthfully backward, with strong rocky and saline elements currently keeping the fruit under wraps. Juicy, powerful wine with a serious tannic structure and considerable class. I love the balance here but I still would not touch this wine for at least six or seven years.- Stephen Tanzer (01/2015)
