Thacher Syrah Paso Robles 2021 750ml
Description
Thacher Syrah Paso Robles 2021 is a dark, expressive red from Homestead Hill Vineyard in the Willow Creek District. Made from 100% estate Syrah, it captures the savory depth and fresh energy of Paso Robles’ westside hills. As a result, the wine feels bold, focused, and full of character. The nose opens with blueberry jam, blackberry, violet, fennel, and a hint of asphalt. Then the palate moves into black fruit, blueberry, pepper, baking chocolate, and earthy spice. Syrah gives the wine its deep color, broad texture, and savory core. Meanwhile, balanced tannins keep the wine structured without making it feel too heavy.Thacher works with native fermentations and a low-intervention approach, letting the vineyard shape the wine. Because of that, this Syrah shows ripe fruit alongside a clear mineral and herbal edge. The finish carries dark berry, black pepper, cocoa, and a touch of smoke with steady length. At 14.9% ABV, this 2021 red offers richness with balance. It has enough depth for Syrah fans, yet its smooth texture makes it easy to enjoy now with a short decant.Serve slightly below room temperature. Then pair it with barbecue ribs, chili, buffalo wings, grilled lamb, smoked brisket, mushroom stew, or aged cheddar.
