This absinthe from Jade Liqueurs is a rather intriguing expression, made with a selection of botanicals which include a species of wormwood harvested from the foothills of the Alps. It is then treated to a hot oxygenation process (which was thought to make it a more hygienic spirit when it was used historically – now it is just used to lend some unique character to the drink), and then rested for an average of three years before being bottled at an eye-watering 68% ABV.

Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Perfect, long lasting finish.
