Nose :Ginger, burnt rubber, baked bananas with brown sugar (getting hungry again).Pretty intense.Some citrus and passionfruit notes as it develops, also hazelnuts.A very complex nose.Palate:Silky-smooth. Cake spices, banana, demerara sugar, almonds, prunes, apricots.A really classy character that keeps on developing.Finish:Long, smooth and quite amazingly complex.We like.Comment:One of the first rums I ever tried – just before it disappeared from our shelves for several years.Great to have it back – like welcoming home an old friend.TF 24/07/07
